Coordinator of Trauma Response and Recovery, Butte County Office of Education
Scott Lindstrom is Co-Coordinator of Trauma Response and Recovery for Butte County Office of Education, and a Certified Advanced Trainer and Peer Mentor for the Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA). He currently coordinates the mental health aspects of the BCOE response to the Camp Fire. He previously served 30+ years as school psychologist and coordinator of student support programs in Chico USD, where he led the development of a sustained multi-tiered support system that serves students with school climate, SEL, student interventions, and parent supports. For 20 years, Scott served as a trainer/consultant to the CA Dept. of Mental Health for the Early Mental Health Initiative. NHA has fundamentally notched up both his personal relationships and professional practices, including PBIS, trauma, and RP. In addition to his work at BCOE, he offers training and coaching for educators, parents, and mental health professionals in NHA, program development, and trauma-responsive supports.
